FDA Approves LaserCap LCPro To Regrow Hair
There’s a new FDA-approved choice for women facing hair loss.
The LaserCap LCPro, seen above, recently received approval from the government agency to promote hair growth. Now, women can take the cap home with them instead of visiting their doctor regularly for laser therapy.
“It’s basically low-level laser light which goes through the scalp and acts on the cells and stimulates the energy factory of the cell, so it produces an energy-rich, oxygen-rich environment for the hair follicle,” hair restoration specialist Dr. Vineeta Keswani told CBS News.
Keswani recommended the cap to pharmacist Seema Patel, and nine months later she says nearly half of her hair has grown back. (Watch the video below to check out Seema’s results and learn more about the cap.)
Note: There are other laser caps on the market that have been given the thumbs up by the FDA.
